Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been having so many fun lately that even his daughter doesn’t know what he does for a living. For example, the Facebook founder shared his new hobby: raising cattle. On Instagram, he said he has started raising wagyu and angus cattle on his ranch in Hawaii. He plans to feed them beer and macadamia nuts, which he also grows there.
Explaining his decision, Zuckerberg said that most commercial farming operations are constrained by costs, something he doesn’t have. “I’m not doing this for commercial reasons. I just want to make the best quality product possible,” the Meta CEO revealed on the podcast.
So he wants to feed the cows the most nutritious food to gain weight and become the best beef cattle. Usually, the best beef cattle are also given beer to stimulate their appetite.
In another Instagram post, Zuckerberg said that each of his cows consumes 2.5 to 5 tons of feed per year. His daughters help him plant macadamia trees. Perhaps this is why one of his daughters began to wonder if her father was a full-time cowboy. She also expressed her support for her father's cowboy work.
In addition to raising cows on the farm, Zuckerberg is also building a $100 million compound, including an underground bunker, a fire escape, at least 30 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms, in Hawaii.
