Authorized by the Director of the City Police Department, the Head of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order awarded letters of commendation to organizations and individuals who voluntarily surrendered weapons, explosives, and support tools.
In order to improve the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization of the entire population to surrender and fight against crimes and violations of the law on weapons, explosives, and supporting tools (weapons, explosives, and supporting tools), and at the same time acknowledge and commend cases of agencies, organizations, and individuals voluntarily surrendering weapons, explosives, and supporting tools in large quantities, the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order advised the Director of the City Police Department to issue Decision No. 1044/QD-CATP-P.QLHC dated June 21, 2024 on the Procedure for Letters of Commendation of the City Police Department for agencies, organizations, and individuals who voluntarily surrender weapons, explosives, supporting tools, and firecrackers.
Through the mobilization and propaganda work of the City Police Department and the spread of the Letter of Commendation model, many citizens of different ages, occupations and residential areas have voluntarily come to hand over weapons, explosives and explosives in large quantities.
Specifically, on June 28, 2024, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of the City Police Department received 05 cases of citizens voluntarily handing over weapons, explosives, and explosives with the following quantities: 20 primitive weapons (knives, homemade swords; pig-throwing knives), 09 metal batons, 01 pepper spray and 05 missile warheads.
After receiving, assessing and basing on the standards in the Commendation Letter Procedure, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order advised the Director of the City Police Department to issue Commendation Letters to 04 citizens.
On July 5, 2024, authorized by the Director of the City Police Department, the Head of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order awarded letters of commendation to 04 citizens; at the same time, presented many gifts such as rice and cash to encourage and motivate 05 citizens who set an example of voluntarily handing over weapons, explosives, and dangerous goods during this period.

Through carrying out administrative procedures, receiving citizens and especially through the night armed patrols of force 113, officers and soldiers of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order and Safety have regularly mobilized and actively propagated people to hand over weapons, explosives and explosives.
