Bac Ninh Provincial Police work all night to protect the dike, ensuring people's safety during floods.

On the night of October 8 and early morning of October 9, the Bac Ninh Provincial Police force, together with the army, militia, Artillery Brigade 675 (with more than 300 officers and soldiers) and people of Dau Han village, Kinh Bac ward, Bac Ninh city urgently protected the dike, reinforced a weak dike section about 2km long, prevented floodwaters from rising, and ensured safety for residential areas.

Also during the night, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police force (PC07) continued to carry out their duties in Tien Luc commune, promptly rescuing a pregnant woman with hemorrhage and a disabled elderly man isolated in a deep flooded area, bringing them out safely.

According to the 3:30 a.m. bulletin this morning (October 9) from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the next 12 hours, floods on the Cau River and Thuong River are likely to peak.

The water level at Dap Cau station is forecast to be about 1.1m higher than alert level 3, and the flood peak at Phu Lang Thuong station will exceed the historical flood level of 1986 by about 0.18m.
