Authorities suddenly checked the age of viewers watching the movie "Mai".

A representative of Cinestar said that the inspection team had checked the age of moviegoers many times, including Mai twice. The representative said that this was a normal working process and could happen at any theater in the country. However, because the Cinestar theater complex had an increased number of viewers watching Dao, Pho and Piano in recent days, the inspection was more rigorous.

The representative also confirmed that they always inform the audience before buying tickets that the film has an age restriction of over 18 years old. After 2 surprise inspections, no cases were detected under 18 years old.

"This inspection will certainly interrupt the audience's enjoyment of the movie. However, the authorities carry out the inspection very quickly, so it only takes about 3-4 minutes. During this process, only a few audience members are randomly inspected, not all of them.

I hope the audience will understand and not feel uncomfortable when enjoying movies at the theater because the authorities also work according to the law," the theater representative added.

The Chief Inspector of the Ministry also said that, along with direct inspection and supervision, on February 21, the Inspectorate of the Ministry sent an official dispatch to the Inspectorate of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism and local Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, requesting to strengthen inspection and examination of compliance with legal regulations on cinema at cinemas.

To strengthen state management of cinema, the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the Inspectorate of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism to strengthen inspection and examination of the dissemination of films in theaters, ensuring that moviegoers are of the right age according to the classification. If violations are detected, they must be strictly handled according to the law.
