On the morning of October 14, the opening session of the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, took place. The Congress was attended by General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man , Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, and leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly and Ho Chi Minh City through many periods.
At the Congress, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Quang Duong announced the decisions of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the appointment of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Inspection Committee and the Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee; and the decision to appoint delegates of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party.

According to the decision, for the 2025-2030 term, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Executive Committee has 109 members. Of which, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Executive Committee for this term has 25 female members, reaching a rate of nearly 23%.
