Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - Vietnam National University, called for the cooperation and efforts of member units as well as the support and direction of management agencies in promoting the network's activities.
Right from the beginning, the two networks have attracted a large number of participants from the academic and business communities. The AI network currently has 27 members (20 universities, 7 businesses), while the Semiconductor network has 34 members (18 universities, 16 businesses). The networks are expected to create strong influence, expand cooperation, and form a knowledge and high-tech center in the Southern region.
The three core objectives of the network are identified as: (i) Organizing at least one excellent training program on adaptation, retraining, advanced or specialized training in the field of AI and semiconductors. (ii) Forming an excellent research - development - application center for AI and semiconductor technology in the country and region. (iii) Attracting at least 100 international experts, scientists and overseas Vietnamese to participate in teaching and research in the network.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong, Rector of the University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University, emphasized: Training institutions and enterprises need to make the most of resources and work together to build high-quality human resource training programs, while promoting joint research to solve technological problems, contributing to making Vietnam an excellent training and research center on AI and semiconductors.

Representative of the Ministry of Education and Training, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Hung, Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Information ( Ministry of Education and Training ) assessed the formation of networks as a vivid demonstration of the "three-house" cooperation model - State, School and Enterprise: "Networks need to soon develop specific cooperation plans, linking training with research, production and innovation; at the same time, coordinate with localities to develop the innovation ecosystem in the Southern region."

Within the framework of the conference, delegates listened to 07 presentations from leading organizations and enterprises such as JAIST Institute of Technology (Japan), Kyushu Institute of Technology, TMA Technology Corporation, YouthDev, A*STAR (Singapore), Viettel Group and Ampere Computing Company. The presentations shared experiences, cooperation models and affirmed the commitment of partners in network activities.
As the host unit, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - Vietnam National University is assigned to lead and connect members in the network, coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Training and Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City to implement key training and research programs. Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong affirmed that this is both an honor and a great responsibility of the school, requiring the cooperation of the entire system to jointly create a knowledge and high-tech foundation for the country./.
