From a light-hearted humorous perspective, the film “Rainbow on the Horizon” will bring stories and situations that are both funny and sad, but also lessons for everyone to reflect on and look back at their own lives.

On the afternoon of May 28, in Hanoi , Vietnam Television held a press conference to introduce the premiere of the film "Rainbow on the Horizon" by director Vu Minh Tri. The film will air at 8:00 p.m. every Thursday and Friday on VTV3 starting from June 5, 2025.

The film revolves around two single-parent families living next to each other in the same apartment building: Tuan - a single father who takes care of his young daughter while shouldering the responsibility of his senile father; Oanh - a single mother struggling to raise her child amidst the pressure of making a living. Their already difficult lives are further disrupted when Tuan's family's long-time maid resigns, leading to a series of "half-laughing, half-crying" disruptions.

The appearance of Tuyet, the new maid, not only saved the situation but also sparked a series of unexpected, humorous and touching situations. Next door, Nga - Oanh's maid - was not willing to be "outdone" in creating drama. From two women who seemed to be just background, Tuyet and Nga became reluctant "matchmakers", unintentionally bringing Tuan and Oanh, two people who had lost faith in love, closer together.

“Rainbow on the Horizon” does not tell a story of youthful love, but of late but profound love, where people who thought they no longer needed love dare to believe and open their hearts again. Along with that love story is an emotional journey about family, old age and loneliness behind the gray hair, they do not need material abundance, but need to be listened to and close to their children and grandchildren.

The film stars: Trong Lan, Anh Dao, Meritorious Artist Linh Hue, Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh, Khanh Linh, Tu Oanh...
