The 2025 High School Graduation Exam left a special mark on the 12th Chemistry class of Ha Tinh Specialized High School when the 3 valedictorians of the province were all members of the class.
Nguyen Doan Khanh Ly and Tran Cong Nguyen were the top students in block A00 with a score of 29.5 and Tran Van The Luc was the top student in block B00 with a total score of 29.
Efforts of 2 top students of block A00
Born into a farming family in Tan Dinh village, Toan Luu commune, Ha Tinh, Nguyen Doan Khanh Ly has always strived and worked hard since childhood to realize her dream of becoming a teacher. Along with her qualities, diligence, meticulousness and a strong self-study spirit are the factors that help Khanh Ly maintain her performance during her studies.
Ms. Doan Thi Tu, Khanh Ly's mother, said that since she was young, Ly showed intelligence and a spirit of independence and self-study, so the family never had to remind her. With many children in the family, difficult circumstances, and poor health, during her extra classes, she was almost always the one to pick her up and drop her off. The months of effort with her child have been rewarded with today's proud results.
Khanh Ly shared that she aspires to become a student of the Faculty of Mathematics Education, Hanoi National University of Education. With the score she has achieved, perhaps her wish will come true. She hopes to become a teacher to convey the knowledge she has learned to children, especially students in rural areas like her.
Sharing her study method, Khanh Ly said that it is simply being diligent and trying to do as many exercises as possible. Besides the support and companionship of teachers, for Khanh Ly, studying textbooks carefully, reading on her own, and improving her knowledge are extremely important. With that diligence, Khanh Ly achieved 29.5 points in the recent high school graduation exam with the following scores: Math 9.5, Physics 10, Chemistry 10.

With the same score as Khanh Ly, these days, in the small house in village 3, Cam Xuyen commune, Tran Cong Nguyen is filled with joy after hearing the score announcement. His parents are hard-working farmers, so more than anyone else, from a young age, Cong Nguyen was very aware of studying and always set goals to strive for.
In addition to the support of teachers at Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted during his studies, Nguyen always promotes the spirit of self-study, doing additional exercises on websites and reviewing and supplementing knowledge with his classmates.
Nguyen said: “This year’s exam was quite suitable for me, so I was very confident in doing the test. As for Math, the last probability question was a bit difficult and I lost points on that question. With this score, I hope to become a student at the Faculty of Automation at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.”
Top student of block B00 with passion for challenging himself
Along with Cong Nguyen and Khanh Ly, this year's Chemistry 12 class also has the valedictorian of block B00 with a total score of 29 (including Math 9.5, Chemistry 9.75, Biology 9.75), that is Tran Van The Luc.
Sharing about his results, Luc said that although he had tried very hard during his studies, becoming the top candidate of the B00 block of the province made him very happy and quite surprised. Because in reality, he did not have as much time to review knowledge for the exam as his friends.
After the National Excellent Student Exam ended in January, Luc started to have time to review knowledge with his classmates to prepare for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. With the third prize in the national Chemistry exam that helped him win a direct admission ticket to Hanoi Medical University, he still decided to enter the exam with the mindset of challenging himself.
Starting later than his friends, Luc was not discouraged. With the solid knowledge he had accumulated before, Luc chose a simple but effective way to study. That is, focusing on mastering basic knowledge to flexibly apply it to doing tests. During the study process, he spent a lot of time playing sports to both improve his health and reduce exam pressure.
Teachers commented that The Luc is a student with a clear learning method, good self-study ability and a progressive spirit. He always knows how to make the most of his self-study time, practice exam questions and listen to teachers' comments to adjust his test-taking style.

With a score of 29 and the bonus points for national excellent student achievements, The Luc is sure to get into Hanoi Medical University - the leading university in the country for medical training.
She shared that becoming a medical student has been her dream since childhood. She wants to become a good doctor in the future to help many people reduce the pain of illness.
Sharing the joy with his students, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, teacher of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted, homeroom teacher of class 12 Chemistry, said that along with the outstanding faces, the 2025 High School Graduation Exam brought complete joy to the class with quite high average scores in the subjects: Math 8.21, Physics 8.94, Chemistry 8.98, Biology 8.45, English 7.25. This honor is the result of the outstanding efforts of the students. They tried very hard to surpass themselves, which made the teachers very proud.
