Tung Thien Ward Trade Union: A new milestone in the journey for workers' rights

On October 23, Tung Thien Ward Trade Union held the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025-2030.

Tung Thien Ward Trade Union was established on September 12, 2025 under Decision No. 1904/QD-LĐLĐ of the Hanoi City Labor Federation, managing 29 grassroots Trade Unions with 1,692 union members in schools, public and non-public service units and enterprises.

For the 2025-2030 term, the Congress identified three breakthroughs, including: Building a team of union officials with intelligence, courage, enthusiasm, responsibility, innovative thinking, flexibility, creativity, and application of digital transformation; promoting dialogue and collective bargaining; strengthening the gathering and mobilization of workers to join trade unions.

The Congress also set out 10 targets to strive for, such as: 100% of union members in difficult circumstances are cared for and protected when requested; 100% of grassroots union officials are trained in professional skills, promoting digital transformation in union activities; each year there is at least 1 typical project or work...

Speaking at the Congress, Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Confederation Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy praised the sense of responsibility and efforts of the Tung Thien Ward Trade Union in the past time and suggested that the Ward Trade Union should continue to affirm the position and core role of the trade union organization; promote the spirit of solidarity and democracy, strengthen dialogue and collective bargaining, pay more attention to the material and spiritual life and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; create a breakthrough in representing and protecting the rights of workers; innovate the way of mobilizing and gathering workers, build a strong and comprehensive trade union organization, truly a reliable support for union members and workers.

Along with that, the Ward Union promotes its pioneering role in patriotic emulation movements, linking activities with the effective implementation of political , economic and social tasks, contributing to building Tung Thien Ward to become increasingly rich, civilized and modern.

The Congress announced the Decisions of the Hanoi City Labor Federation on appointing the Executive Committee of the Tung Thien Ward Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term. Comrade Phung Trong Dung was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Tung Thien Ward Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term.
