Cultural industry promotes Ninh Binh tourism to take off

Cultural industry always goes hand in hand and is the 'lever' to help Ninh Binh tourism industry 'take off', becoming one of the top 10 destinations in Vietnam today.

On May 9, Tien Phong Newspaper coordinated with Ninh Binh Department of Tourism to organize a workshop "Using cultural industry as a lever for Ninh Binh tourism to take off".

Mr. Nguyen Cao Son, Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee spoke at the workshop.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Cao Son, Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, said that up to now, Ninh Binh's tourism industry has become one of the top 10 destinations in Vietnam, in which, Trang An scenic complex was voted as "an influential destination in the world ".

"In order for Ninh Binh tourism to "take off", a comprehensive and synchronous development strategy is needed. In recent times, Ninh Binh has exploited tourism resources and always associated them with preserving and promoting cultural values.

Therefore, today's workshop will help Ninh Binh province gain opinions from experts and managers in orienting appropriate policies and strategies to turn the province into a unique cultural and tourism center," said Mr. Son.

At the workshop, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phan Tam said that the problem of Ninh Binh is not what the locality has, but how to make the tourism brand competitive, widespread, and reach international level.

According to Mr. Tam, in order for the cultural industry to become a lever to help tourism take off, Ninh Binh needs to create favorable policies to attract the private economy, focusing on digital transformation, digitizing heritage, virtual museums, etc.

Journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, said that the workshop is an important forum in finding a new direction for the sustainable development of Ninh Binh tourism.

When the cultural industry is integrated and developed in parallel with tourism, the stories, identity and soul of the ancient capital will be the most unique and different from other places.
