Creating resources for the Party development work is the task of the entire political system, from the central to local levels, including the role and responsibility of trade unions. Especially developing party members among workers and laborers directly involved in production and business.

In recent years, trade unions at all levels have implemented many solutions to develop the Party among workers and laborers in units and enterprises.

Under the leadership and direction of Party committees at all levels, trade unions have affirmed their role as a bridge between workers and the Party, through introducing outstanding workers with sufficient qualities, abilities and revolutionary ideals for the Party to consider admitting.

Referring to the issue of party development among workers, Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, said that this is a particularly important force for developing party members, because the Party is the vanguard of the working class.

"The role of the working class is very important, so developing party members among workers must be given great attention," Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong emphasized.

Improving the quality of party organizations in enterprises

In addition to the achievements, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also frankly acknowledged that the results of Party development among workers are not commensurate with the scope, scale, and number of workers. In addition, a number of party members and workers have not continuously and persistently strived, and have not promoted the role of party members in enterprises...

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tam, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union, said that from 2020 to 2024, the entire system admitted 1,416 party members, but only 610 were direct production workers, accounting for nearly 44%, not corresponding to the rate of direct production workers.

The basic reason for this situation is that the workers' qualifications are not high, their awareness is limited, and their living standards are lower than in other industries; moreover, female workers account for over 70% of the industry, so their primary concern is taking care of their family and raising children.

In addition, the majority of textile workers are immigrants and often change jobs. Therefore, they do not want to spend more time on political issues, especially when changing their place of residence or looking for other job opportunities in FDI or private companies.

The Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor recommended that the Party Committee focus on establishing and improving the quality of Party organizations in enterprises; innovate the Party activity process to suit the production and business activities of enterprises, especially Party activities in combined Party cells and Party cells with many Party members in many different enterprises in industrial zones and clusters. Pay attention to the reasonable assignment of work to Party members in enterprises.

Each party member must be proactive, self-aware, and uphold a sense of responsibility in performing the work assigned by the Party Committee; the Party Committee must create favorable conditions for party members to perform well the assigned work and strengthen inspection and supervision of party members...
