At the ceremony, the representative of the medical construction group, Mr. Le Van Dung - Deputy Director of the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Civil and Industrial Works - shared about the City Children's Hospital project.

The City Children's Hospital has a scale of 1,000 beds and is one of the three final-level pediatric hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces. The location of this hospital is also very special, located in the overall planning of 54 hectares (oriented to increase to 70 hectares) of the specialized medical cluster in Tan Kien commune, Binh Chanh district.

"This not only contributes to improving healthcare capacity for pediatric patients in the city but also pediatric patients in Long An, Tay Ninh provinces and the Mekong Delta region," Mr. Dung added.

Regarding the Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital project (facility 2), Dr. Diep Bao Tuan - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital said that this facility currently serves 50,000 patients coming for examination every day.

The hospital has 18 modern operating rooms, especially the positive air pressure system, ensuring anti-infection. The 1,000-bed inpatient areas and patient rooms all have central air conditioning and in-room toilets.

"This modern facility helps patients feel secure and confident when coming to the hospital for examination and treatment. At the same time, it improves the capacity to care for and treat cancer patients," said Dr. Tuan.

In addition, the Oncology Hospital has invested in a modern equipment system and a helipad. In the future, the unit will join the air ambulance service for the eastern area of Ho Chi Minh City.

The project is connected to Metro Line 1 and the new Eastern Bus Station for convenient travel. The hospital also develops new, specialized techniques such as bone marrow transplants to help treat cancer better. In the future, the unit aims to become a medical facility specializing in oncology on par with the Southeast Asian region.
