The company has invested in building seed processing plants, rice processing plants, storage facilities, and a Plant Research Institute with advanced equipment. This is a crucial foundation that helps the company enhance its research, production, and supply capabilities to the market.” In its development strategy, the company clearly identifies three pillars: "intelligence - technology - relationships," with technology playing a key role. This is the foundation for the company to vigorously implement digital transformation, aiming to build a modern agricultural business model.
ThaiBinh Seed is the first enterprise in the country to protect the TBR1 pure rice variety. To date, it has protected more than 30 plant varieties; at the same time, it has built and implemented a systematic and synchronized digital transformation roadmap across all areas of operation. In research, the enterprise promotes the application of biotechnology, information technology, big data, and artificial intelligence in breeding. Digitizing research data not only helps shorten breeding time but also improves accuracy and efficiency, contributing to the creation of high-yield, high-quality plant varieties that are adaptable to climate change. The company's Crop Research Institute brings together a team of highly qualified scientists and regularly collaborates with domestic and international institutes and universities. The company currently has a Crop Research Institute with an area of over 140 hectares dedicated to research; a biotechnology testing laboratory and research departments; and a national testing laboratory for testing products before they are released to the market. The company won first prize, with an award of up to $750,000, in a project on reducing emissions from rice production in the Red River Delta, funded by the Dutch organization SNV.
