Corteva and farmers protect durian

BPO - On the morning of May 12, in Binh Minh commune, Bu Dang district, Corteva Agriscience Vietnam Company organized a seminar on "Corteva Solution Set - Care and Pest Management on Durian Trees". The event attracted the attention of more than 250 farmers, distributors and experts from the Southern Fruit Research Institute (SOFRI).

Faced with the reality of climate change and the strong emergence of pests, Corteva has introduced an integrated product system: Zorvec® Encantia® 330SE, Closer® 500WG, Radiant 60SC, Curzate M8, which bring outstanding effectiveness in preventing and treating common diseases on durian trees such as trunk cracking, gummosis, fruit rot and sucking insects.

According to Dr. Dang Thi Kim Uyen, Deputy Head of Plant Protection Department, Southern Fruit Institute, Corteva products have been tested in the field, showing fast and long-lasting effectiveness. Zorvec is a technological step forward in preventing and controlling Phytophthora fungus. Closer helps effectively control resistant mealybugs, which have been a difficult problem for farmers for many years.

At the seminar, many farmers who have used Corteva products directly shared their experiences and comments: Closer® helps to completely kill mealybugs after just one spray. The trees recovered well, and productivity increased significantly. Meanwhile, Zorvec caused durian orchards to leak sap and rot, but after a while, the disease almost disappeared, the fruits were large and beautiful, with green thorns and shiny fruit. With the initial results, farmers hope that in the future, Corteva Agriscience Vietnam Company will continue to accompany them, providing more quality and effective solutions for plant care and protection, not only for durian trees but also for many other crops.

Experts from the Southern Fruit Institute and representatives of Corteva Agriscience Vietnam Company shared and analyzed in detail the "Corteva Solution Set - Care and pest management on durian trees" as well as many other crops.
