Voters want to develop Truong Sa special zone into an economic, cultural and social center.

At the meeting, the Organizing Committee informed voters about the expected content and program of the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly ; and at the same time reported the results of handling and responding to voters' petitions after the 9th Session.

Voters in Truong Sa special zone expressed their confidence in the leadership of the Party, the management of the State and the activities of the People's Council of Khanh Hoa province. The majority of voters recommended that Khanh Hoa province's leaders continue to pay attention to investing, building and developing Truong Sa special zone to become an economic, cultural and social center at sea, and at the same time a solid fortress to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

At the meeting, Major Dang Anh Tuan, Political Commissar of Company 1, Battalion 3, Brigade 146, expressed his honor at the attention of the Party, State and Khanh Hoa province to Truong Sa. Major Dang Anh Tuan said that the lives of soldiers and people in Truong Sa are increasingly improving, but there are still many difficulties due to harsh natural conditions. Therefore, Major Dang Anh Tuan hopes that all levels will continue to pay attention to investing in people's infrastructure in health care and education so that officers, soldiers and people on the islands can feel secure to stay on the islands and maintain the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Mr. Le Huu Tri, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Khanh Hoa province, on behalf of the working delegation, received and answered a number of issues within the delegation's authority; forwarded to the National Assembly, the Government, central ministries, branches and local authorities to consider and resolve the opinions, recommendations, thoughts and aspirations of voters that were not within the delegation's authority. He hoped that the voters of Truong Sa special zone would continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and responsibility, contribute many practical ideas, and contribute to the development of Truong Sa special zone and Khanh Hoa province to become increasingly prosperous.

Truong Sa Special Zone was established on the basis of the entire natural area and population of Truong Sa town, Song Tu Tay commune and Sinh Ton commune with a total area of about 500 km², located in the East and Southeast of our country's sea. Truong Sa has a system of wharves, airports, lighthouses, hydrometeorological stations, quality healthcare and education systems, a system of ship locks, supporting islanders and local fishermen to exploit and develop the marine economy. This place is also a storm shelter for ships operating in Truong Sa fishing grounds.
