Department of Cultural Heritage directs handling of case of national treasure being damaged in Hue

NDO - According to a source from Nhan Dan newspaper, the Department of Cultural Heritage has just issued official dispatch No. 566/DSVH-DT requesting to handle the case of the national treasure, the Nguyen Dynasty throne at the Hue Imperial Citadel, being damaged.

The document sent to the Hue Monuments Conservation Center stated that on some social media sites, there were reports of the Nguyen Dynasty throne being violated in Hue. The Department of Cultural Heritage requested the Hue Monuments Conservation Center to urgently organize an inspection, assess the current situation, report to ensure security, safety, timely protect national treasures and Hue Monuments and report to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism before May 26, 2025.

In addition, the organization assesses the technical status of national treasures and promptly proposes solutions for handling and preservation according to the provisions of the law on cultural heritage .

Strengthen the work of protecting, preserving and promoting the value of national treasures according to the instructions in Official Dispatch No. 1669/DSVH-QLBT&DSTL dated April 22, 2024 of the Department of Cultural Heritage on strengthening the work of protecting, preserving and promoting the value of national treasures and preparing dossiers of artifacts proposed for recognition as national treasures in the 13th phase, 2024.
