Regarding the advertisement of weight loss products advertised by DJ Ngan 98, the Department of Food Safety ( Ministry of Health ) has just issued a document requesting the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City and the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene of Hanoi to urgently inspect, verify the production activities, and take samples to test some weight loss products advertised by DJ Ngan 98.
The Food Safety Department said that recently, some weight loss products advertised by DJ Ngan 98, such as X1000, weight loss pills X3 (Super Detox X3), X7 plus. These are products that are attracting attention online because they are suspected of containing banned substances and have not been licensed for advertising.
The Food Safety Department has urgently checked and reviewed the Department's online public service software. The results show that only 1 of the above products has received a declaration at the Food Safety Department, which is the health protection food X7 plus.
Specifically, this is a health protection food announced by Zubu Trading and Service Company Limited (address: 154 Pham Van Chieu, Ward 9, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) and is responsible for the product, manufactured at Nanotesla High-Tech Pharmaceutical Production Company Limited (address: Dan Phuong Industrial Zone, Dan Phuong Commune, Dan Phuong District, Hanoi City). This product has a Certificate of Product Declaration Registration No. 5297/2021/DKSP dated June 14, 2021.
In addition, the Food Safety Department does not issue any advertising content certification for the products with the above names.
Through online screening, the Food Safety Department discovered that some websites are still selling this product and advertising it in violation of regulations, such as advertising the product in a misleading way about its uses, advertising falsely with the product declaration registration certificate, advertising the product as a medicine, etc. Evidence of these violations has been collected.
Pursuant to Article 40 of Decree 15/2018/ND-CP detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Food Safety, the Department of Food Safety has issued an official dispatch requesting the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City and the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene of Hanoi to urgently inspect and verify the production, trading and advertising activities of the above products, and at the same time take samples for testing to determine prohibited substances (if any) for handling according to regulations.
Consumers are advised not to use weight loss products of unknown origin, unlicensed or based solely on celebrity advertising. Using unsafe products can cause serious harm to health, especially the liver, kidneys and cardiovascular system.
