The Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information is coordinating to inspect and handle artists who advertise misleadingly about the quality and uses of products and functional foods.

On the morning of April 17, speaking with Tri Thuc - Znews , Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, said that the Department had received a document from the Ministry of Health regarding coordination in checking information and handling illegal advertising acts by celebrities that cause confusion about product quality and uses.

According to the Deputy Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, the Department is currently in the process of investigating and verifying and will inform when there are official results.

Doan Quoc Dam spoke up to correct the milk advertisement on the evening of April 16.

At the regular Government press conference, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh said: "With more and more new things in practice, we are amending and supplementing the Advertising Law. During the process of amending the Advertising Law, we received many enthusiastic and very practical comments. We plan to add some specific provisions related to celebrities participating in advertising. Notably, those participating in online advertising must be responsible before the law in general and the Advertising Law in particular regarding the products they advertise. In addition, they must be responsible, have specific verification and transparency about the products they advertise."

In addition, the Deputy Minister of Culture added that when making laws, they are accompanied by a Decree. The management agency plans to include specific provisions in the Decree related to the implementation of the Advertising Law regulating the activities of celebrities and artists participating in online advertising; plans to increase sanctions related to the level of penalties or advertising bans, and even have measures to restrict artistic activities and limit appearances in the media and social networks.

In recent days, Doan Quoc Dam and MC Hoang Linh have been mentioned a lot because they appeared in a video advertising Cilonmum - a product in the 573 fake milk brands ring. On the evening of April 15, BTV Quang Minh apologized and took responsibility. MC Quyen Linh continuously posted corrections, affirming that he did not advertise fake milk.

Previously, on April 15, the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) sent a document to the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information and the Department of Grassroots Culture, requesting coordination in managing food advertising. The Department requested to inspect and handle advertising violations on social networks, especially those related to celebrities, and report the results for synthesis.
