Early in the morning, the Traditional Medicine Clinic was crowded with patients waiting for their turn to be examined; most patients came here to treat the after-effects of stroke, unexplained pain, high blood pressure, etc. Doctors and volunteers were busy performing acupuncture and prescribing medicine; many elderly people were chopping and drying herbs non-stop... Mr. Le Chi Nhan, Deputy Head of the Traditional Medicine Clinic's Management Board, said: "The team of traditional medicine practitioners and medical assistants here all have clear qualifications, so people have great trust in them."
Many people with chronic illnesses and economic difficulties have seen significant health improvements thanks to free pulse diagnosis and herbal medicine. Mr. Nguyen Van Canh from My Phuoc commune said: “More than a year ago, I suffered a stroke. When I first came here, I had to use a wheelchair and couldn't manage my daily activities independently.
