Rescue of fisherman who had an accident and almost lost his right leg in Truong Sa

(NLDO)- On September 1, Truong Sa Medical Center, Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province received and treated a fisherman from Binh Dinh province who had an accident and almost had his right leg severed.

Accordingly, at around 6:00 p.m. on August 31, while fishing in the sea 68 nautical miles from Truong Sa Island, Mr. Tran Di, (70 years old, Hoai Huong ward, Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province) had his leg wrapped in a fishing net, nearly severing his right ankle.

The patient was admitted to Truong Sa Medical Center.

The patient was seriously injured, his right leg was almost severed.

The patient was then taken to Truong Sa Medical Center by ship BD 97652 TS with a diagnosis of a near-severance injury to the right ankle due to a work accident at the 15th hour.

The patient has been tested and treated but is still at risk of progressive inflammation and infection.

The on-duty team consulted with Military Hospital 175 and continued to monitor the patient's condition, promptly reporting any abnormalities.
