How many teams have qualified for the 2026 World Cup?

The 17th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in South America took place on the morning of September 5 (Vietnam time) and determined 3 more teams to win tickets to the world football festival.

The three names above are Uruguay, Colombia and Paraguay. All three will become the 14th, 15th and 16th teams to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Before this match, South America has determined the 3 teams going to the 2026 World Cup: Argentina, Brazil and Ecuador.

The 2026 World Cup will increase from 32 teams to 48, and will also increase the number of participating tickets for each region. Asia will benefit the most from the increase from 4.5 to 8.5 tickets, while South America will have the most "breathability" with 6/10 teams officially winning tickets.
