On the evening of October 21, Ga Ry Border Guard Station ( Da Nang ) said it had just provided first aid and taken a resident attacked by a bear to the emergency room.
According to initial information, at 6:30 p.m. on October 21, Ga Ry Border Guard Station received a report that Mr. Po Loong Nhuong (45 years old, residing in Atu1 village, Hung Son commune, Da Nang city) was attacked by a bear while on his way home from visiting his fields.
Ga Ry Border Guard Station sent military medics and local forces to take the victim to the combined military-civilian medical station for first aid.
Upon examination, Mr. Nhuong suffered injuries to his face, abdomen, legs, and arms. His chin was bitten and deformed.
The border station's medical staff stopped the bleeding, bandaged and gave Mr. Nhuong an IV. At the same time, they arranged a vehicle and an ambulance to take him to the Tay Giang Medical Center for further treatment.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phuc Truong, Political Commissar of Ga Ry Border Guard Station, said the unit initially provided 2 million VND to his family for treatment.
At the same time, the unit notified the villages, advising people to pay attention and be careful when working in the fields to prevent wild animals from attacking.
Hung Son Commune, Da Nang City is an administrative unit established on the basis of merging four border communes: Tr'Hy, Axan, Ch'om and Gary (formerly Tay Giang district, Quang Nam province).
This is a border commune in the west of Da Nang, bordering Laos, an area with rugged terrain, many hills and primeval forests.
