On September 16, the 34th WorldFood Moscow 2025 international food exhibition opened at the Crocus Expo Center in Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation, bringing together more than 1,000 units and businesses from more than 30 countries around the world and 60 regions of Russia. Notably, 65 Vietnamese businesses participated in this exhibition.
According to a VNA reporter in Moscow, this year Vietnamese businesses brought to the exhibition many key agricultural products, such as rice, coffee, cashew nuts, pepper, confectionery, fresh fruits and many processed fruit products, as well as other organic foods. In particular, products with international certifications on food hygiene and safety, and organic products made a strong impression at the exhibition.
Russia is a traditional market with great potential and is increasingly expanding its demand for agricultural imports from Asia. In the context of the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership continuing to develop, promoting, introducing products and exporting key agricultural products not only contributes to diversifying the supply sources for the Russian market but also creates conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to enhance brand value, affirm and occupy a worthy position in a market whose potential has not yet been fully exploited.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Pavilion, Mr. Hoang Minh Chien - Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade , highlighted the large and diverse presence of Vietnamese enterprises at this exhibition, demonstrating the determination of our enterprises in enhancing brand image, affirming competitiveness, and at the same time promoting deeper penetration into the global supply chain.
Mr. Chien also expressed his hope that Vietnamese and Russian enterprises will be proactive and creative, turning cooperation opportunities at this fair into specific projects and contracts, contributing to bringing economic and trade relations between the two countries to a new level, affirming that the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade is always ready to provide maximum support for these activities.
On the Russian side, Mr. Aleksander Ezhov - Director of WorldFood Moscow 2005 Exhibition, emphasized the long-standing friendship and close relationship between Russia and Vietnam, as well as the correct policies of the two countries in promoting the growth of bilateral trade turnover.
Mr. Ezhov affirmed that the economic and trade relations between Russia and Vietnam are having positive changes and this trend is clearly shown at this year's fair when attracting many Vietnamese enterprises to participate, showing the growing interest of Vietnamese enterprises in the Russian market. Mr. Ezhov expressed his belief that economic and trade cooperation between the two countries will further develop in the coming time.
Speaking to VNA reporters, representatives of several Vietnamese enterprises participating in the WorldFood Moscow 2025 exhibition also assessed that the potential for Vietnamese agricultural products to penetrate deeper into the Russian market is huge.
Ms. Mai Thi Y Nhi - CEO of My Phuong Food Company in Da Nang, emphasized that Russia has a stable demand for importing tropical products that Russia cannot produce and with the advantage of natural tropical agricultural products, Vietnamese products will certainly be very suitable for Russian tastes.
Mr. Nguyen Dac Minh - Chairman of Minh Trung Vietnam Group, also highly appreciated the potential of the Russian market. According to him, the participation of Vietnamese enterprises in international exhibition events of this scale will help to enhance the image of Vietnam in the eyes of Russian and international friends, proving to the world that Vietnam has changed a lot after the war, developed and deeply integrated with the world. We Vietnamese have enough qualifications, capacity and intelligence to participate in international trade forums to bring economic benefits to the country.
The WorldFood Moscow 2025 exhibition is expected to last until September 19. With advantages in quality, variety and increasing competitiveness, Vietnamese agricultural products are expected to continue to conquer Russian consumers, contributing to further deepening economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, while promoting the realization of the goal of making Vietnam one of the prestigious and stable suppliers of agricultural products to the international market./.
