Responding to reporters' questions about the conclusion of the inspection on electricity supply for Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and related parties, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan said that the Ministry had inspected and had an inspection conclusion, including the content related to the review.
According to Mr. Tan, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has recently supervised the implementation of the conclusions of corporations and general companies, including EVN. Accordingly, EVN has seriously organized the implementation, clarifying the responsibilities of individuals and units as indicated in the inspection conclusion. The forms of discipline have been reported to the State Capital Management Committee at enterprises.
On the side of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr. Tan said that he has conducted a review of relevant units at the Ministry.
"The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to coordinate with the State Capital Management Committee at enterprises to implement solutions, especially directing EVN to overcome the consequences and find solutions to avoid repeating the mistakes pointed out in the recent inspection conclusion," the Deputy Minister shared.

Providing more information on this issue, Vice Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises Ho Sy Hung said that based on the inspection conclusion of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on electricity supply, a number of shortcomings and violations were pointed out with groups of contents including slow investment in completing some power sources and grids, ensuring reserves of primary raw materials, regulating the power system and balancing power sources, violating the direction of operation and scheduling, causing widespread disruption of power supply in the Northern region...
Mr. Hung affirmed that EVN has seriously reviewed and clearly reviewed the arising issues, including solutions to overcome them, on that basis, reported to the competent authorities, and asked for opinions from the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Inspectorate regarding the correct review of the existing problems as stated in the conclusion.
After completing the procedures, EVN has proposed and issued a decision to discipline a number of leaders of EVN and the National Power System Control Center (A0).
"This process is being implemented in accordance with regulations, ensuring the correct content of the Inspectorate's conclusions and the State Capital Management Committee believes that EVN has conducted the review with correct content and seriously, as well as the proposed disciplinary measures are appropriate," Mr. Hung affirmed.
