Connecting heritage in Gia Lai

The increase in international tourists to Gia Lai and the Central Highlands shows that the tourism potential of this region is being increasingly exploited effectively, and at the same time reflects the readiness of ethnic minority communities to integrate through traditional cultural activities.

For Gia Lai, cultural tourism is a key product line of the tourism industry because the North Central Highlands region possesses inherent cultural heritage values ​​passed down through generations. Prominent and attractive cultural tourism products include visiting historical sites, researching cultural and historical aspects, exploring and experiencing traditional culture and community life, festival tourism, culinary tourism, and spiritual tourism.

Connecting Heritage

Author batinhbtgl submitted the work " Connecting Heritage " to the " Happy Vietnam 2025 " Award . The work depicts a Jrai woman in Gia Lai connecting with two Russian tourists through social media.

In recent years, the number of international tourists visiting Gia Lai in particular and the Central Highlands in general has been increasing. This shows that tourism products here are becoming more attractive, and at the same time, ethnic minority people from the villages are ready to connect and integrate with the outside world .

We invite readers and photographers from Vietnam and abroad to continue submitting their photos and videos to participate in the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Award . The award is organized by... The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Television, organized this event . The aim was to continue introducing and promoting the image of Vietnam, its people, cultural values, and natural beauty throughout the country; to awaken national pride and self-respect, and to inspire a desire for development among all segments of the Vietnamese population, so that they can work together to build a more prosperous, thriving, and happy Vietnam.

Submission deadline: From May 22, 2025 to September 30, 2025. Entries can be submitted online at : https://happy.vietnam.vn  

Eligible participants: Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and above.

The awards consist of two categories: photos and videos.

Each competition category (photos and videos) will have one First Prize worth VND 50,000,000, two Second Prizes worth VND 30,000,000, three Third Prizes worth VND 15,000,000, ten Consolation Prizes worth VND 5,000,000, and one Most Voted Award worth VND 5,000,000.

The organizers encourage and will award a creative prize of VND 20,000,000 in each category (photos and videos) to works with new and creative ideas in terms of content and presentation.

In addition, the organizing committee will award monthly prizes, including first, second, and third prizes, to the works with the highest number of votes in each category each month.

The judging panel selected the winners through two rounds of preliminary and final judging, conducted both online and in person.
