Da Lat attracts South Korean tourists.

In February 2025, the total number of tourists visiting and staying in Da Lat City and Lam Dong Province reached 990,000, an increase of 10% compared to the same period last year, with a significant increase in international tourists, especially from South Korea.

On March 6th, Mr. Ton Thien San, Director of the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Finance, stated that in the first two months of 2025, the total number of tourists visiting and staying in Da Lat City reached 1.87 million (a 10% increase compared to the same period last year). In February 2025 alone, 990,000 tourists visited Da Lat; of which, international tourists accounted for 75,000 (a 41.5% increase). The total number of overnight stays reached 700,000, a 27.3% increase compared to the same period last year.

In the first two months of 2025, Da Lat City (Lam Dong province) welcomed 1.87 million visitors.

Of the 1.87 million tourists who visited Lam Dong in the past two months, 1.73 million were domestic tourists (an 8% increase); 140,000 were international tourists (a 40% increase compared to the same period last year); and 1.38 million were overnight visitors, a 16% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, out of 140,000 international visitors to Da Lat, nearly 50% came from South Korea, while the rest came from Russia, Eastern European countries, Northern European countries, and some Middle Eastern countries.

The increase in South Korean tourists is due to the numerous direct flights from South Korea to Lien Khuong Airport and vice versa, making it easier for visitors to Da Lat.

According to Ms. Ngoc, Da Lat City also has many music and sports events, new tourist attractions, and agro-tourism options that suit the tastes of Korean tourists; at the same time, there are increasingly more 4-5 star hotels to meet the accommodation needs of international tourists.

In the first two months of the year, total retail sales of goods and services reached VND 16,280 billion (an increase of 19.4% compared to the same period last year); of which, retail sales of goods reached VND 15,269 billion (an increase of 61%); revenue from accommodation, food and tourism services reached VND 4,006 billion (an increase of 59.2% compared to the same period last year); and revenue from other services reached VND 2,641 billion (an increase of 60%).
