The workshop was attended by representatives of the City People's Committee, departments and branches; domestic and international universities and research institutes, along with professors and scientists from Columbia University, leaders of technology corporations, investment funds specializing in AI and blockchain, and many innovative start-up businesses.
The SuperEdge AI Summit 2025 is an opportunity for Da Nang to receive in-depth scientific and technological advice from a team of international experts, typically scholars from Columbia University. At the same time, it opens up opportunities to promote cooperation between research institutes, universities, domestic and international enterprises, thereby supporting human resource training, implementing joint research, transferring technology and attracting investment in areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, data centers and high technology.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, said that Da Nang is striving to become one of the leading centers in the country in microchip design and artificial intelligence application, forming a strong innovation ecosystem, and at the same time training and attracting about 3,000 high-quality human resources in the field of AI.
According to Mr. Ho Quang Buu, the world is currently witnessing the strong development of artificial intelligence, big data and decentralized infrastructure models. These technologies not only create new tools but are also changing the digital infrastructure structure, management methods and growth models of modern cities.
Mr. Buu emphasized: Updating knowledge and preparing access capacity are urgent requirements for Da Nang to realize strategic goals, from developing smart cities, improving governance efficiency, to building the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang.

At the workshop, domestic and international experts presented in-depth discussions on decentralized AI, infrastructure and standards for authentic data, AI application capacity in the fields of smart cities and public finance, as well as AI models that comply with international standards.
In addition, the workshop also focused on the possibility of deploying AI in Da Nang's public services, aiming to build a city that operates based on transparent, safe and verifiable data.
According to Mr. Le Son Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City, to gradually position Da Nang as a pioneer in applying AI in economic and financial activities, the city can prioritize the development of data infrastructure. This is a suitable direction, helping to accelerate the process of building and exploiting data sources to serve the management, operation and development of digital services.

The implementation is carried out on the basis of compliance with legal regulations, ensuring safety, security and privacy of people, while promoting the proactive role of organizations, businesses and research units in the city's innovation ecosystem.
On the same day, November 27, the People's Committee of Da Nang City coordinated with SuperEdge and AI Research Labs - Columbia University (USA) to organize the SuperEdge AI Summit 2025 Artificial Intelligence Technology Academic Conference, with the participation of many international experts, including Professor Max (Chong) Li - owner of more than 200 patents in the United States, blockchain advisor of the United Nations; and Professor Pramod Viswanath - Professor of Princeton University, prestigious scholar in the field of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
At the conference, speakers presented a series of topics on decentralized AI, data authentication standards, legally compliant AI models, and AI applications in smart cities and public finance. The focus of discussion revolved around integrating AI into Da Nang's public services, aiming to build a transparent, safe, and verifiable operating system.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Da Nang City and SecureFinAI Research Labs (Columbia University) signed a cooperation agreement on AI human resource training, research and development of technology infrastructure to serve the digital economy. This is considered an important step in the strategy to turn Da Nang into an AI center of the Asia-Pacific region.
