Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang set a goal that by 2030, Da Nang will become a growth pole of the country and a pioneer in developing science, technology, innovative startups and digital transformation.

On the afternoon of August 1, the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Da Nang City held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term. Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee attended and delivered a speech directing the Congress.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that the People's Committee of the city is the highest state administrative agency at the local level, with the function of organizing the implementation of the Constitution, laws, resolutions of the People's Council and directing and operating all areas of the city's development. Therefore, the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Da Nang City holds a special position in the political system, is the core of direct leadership of the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees of departments, branches, sectors, specialized management agencies of the city, central agencies located in the area and a number of affiliated enterprises, public service units, universities, and vocational schools.

During the 2020-2025 period, the two former localities of Quang Nam and Da Nang City have made efforts to overcome difficulties and quickly recover their economies after the Covid-19 pandemic, with an average GRDP growth rate of 5.8%/year.

The service sector, especially tourism, has recovered, with the number of visitors increasing by an average of 37% per year. The industrial and construction sector has maintained stable growth. Speaking at the Congress, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang noted a number of important contents for officials to study, consider, and include in the Party Committee's resolution and action program for immediate implementation in the coming time.
