On the morning of April 27, flight number C65539 from the capital Tashkent landed at Da Nang International Airport, bringing more than 180 passengers to visit and tour this city.
In order to bring new experiences to tourists from Uzbekistan, the tourism industry of Da Nang city organized a warm welcome at the international arrival hall of Da Nang airport. Tourists had an enjoyable experience with a warm welcome by water cannon ceremony, traditional art program, lively mascot, flowers and souvenirs. Along with that, the gift of Vietnamese conical hats brought a special impression to the guests on the first flight from Uzbekistan to the coastal city.
The charter flight from Tashkent, Uzbekistan to Da Nang will operate from April 27 to October 31, 2025. In the initial phase, the flight will operate with a frequency of 1 flight/week. It is expected that from June this year, the frequency will be increased to 2 flights/week to meet the increasing travel demand between the two cities.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City: "Opening more flights from Tashkent once again affirms the attractiveness of Da Nang to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) market. It is a testament to the city's continuous efforts in expanding its international connection network. This is a positive signal, opening up opportunities to welcome new visitors from this potential region."

From April 23 to 25, 2025, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City participated in the KITF International Tourism Fair in Kazakhstan to promote destinations, introduce tourism products and connect with partners from the CIS market. In addition, the delegation also surveyed and researched the market to develop products suitable to tourists' tastes, thereby improving service quality to bring the best experience to tourists. From the above efforts, on April 2, Da Nang International Airport was honored to welcome the first flight from Almaty, Kazakhstan, carrying more than 300 passengers to travel to Da Nang city.
The operation of the route from Tashkent, Uzbekistan to Da Nang has increased the total number of flights from the CIS region to Da Nang to 11 flights/week. It is expected that from June 3, 2025, Air Astana will start operating the route from Almaty (Kazakhstan) to Da Nang with a frequency of 04 flights/week.

The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) has nine official member states, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The total GDP of the entire CIS bloc is expected to reach approximately $2.6 trillion by 2024. The CIS is a large economic region with rich natural resources, especially oil, gas, precious metals and agricultural products. According to a survey, the demand for tourism in this market is very high, especially during the winter holidays (from December to February). Most of the current tours last from 10-15 days./.
