Vietnamese beauty representative Thanh Thuy crowned Miss International 2024

The crowning moment of Vietnam's beauty representative in the final night of Miss International 2024.

Vietnamese representative Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy has won the Miss International 2024 crown, after surpassing 75 contestants in the final night held in Japan on November 12. The titles of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th runner-up respectively belonged to representatives from Bolivia, Spain, Venezuela, and Indonesia.

In the behavioral round, Miss Thanh Thuy confidently used 3 languages to demonstrate her communication skills and received great encouragement from fans. The beauty received a question on the topic ofeducation : What is the impact of global development on the education system of your young generation?

Thanh Thuy answered fluently in English: “I think it is the urgency of the global education system during the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing us to stay at home and study online. That leads to a change in the development trend of Ed-Tech (Education and Technology). I hope students have the opportunity to explore and learn through online education platforms because this is the fourth goal in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), aiming for equality in education.”

Then, in the moment of victory, Miss Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy emotionally shared: “Thank you very much. I am the first Miss Vietnam to come to Miss International and now, I am the first Miss International from Vietnam. Finally, I have been able to prove that I deserve all the love and support of the audience, fans in Vietnam and the whole world . Thank you very much”.

With her sweet, charming beauty and fluent English communication skills, along with a bright face, bright smile, height of 1.75m, measurements of 80-63-94cm, and elegant, gentle demeanor, Thanh Thuy has always been highly appreciated during her participation in the contest's activities.

Before the Miss International 2024 final, the beauty site Missosology ranked the beauty queen in the top 15. Several other beauty sites also predicted that Miss Thanh Thuy would be in the top 10 best contestants.

Previously, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was crowned Miss Vietnam 2022, won the title of Miss University of Foreign Languages (under the University of Da Nang) and 1st Runner-up of the 2021 Da Nang City Elegant Students Contest. She is currently studying at the University of Foreign Languages (University of Da Nang) and Greenwich University Vietnam.

Miss International is one of the three major beauty pageants in the world, along with Miss World and Miss Universe. This pageant was first held in 1960 and takes place annually in Japan. Since 1995, Vietnam has sent representatives to this pageant and before Thanh Thuy, our highest achievement was the 3rd runner-up position in 2018 of Pham Hong Thuy Van./.
