Tofas Vietnam representative brings street experience programming

Tofas International Programming Contest is an educational product of Sprix Japan, considered an international standard academic assessment test in 32 countries such as Japan, the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Egypt... with 8 languages and more than 2,000 schools.

With the desire to inspire a passion for programming to spread widely in Vietnam, not only for students and tech people, Tofas brings the competition to the street experience. Accordingly, Tofas representative will invite any passerby to experience the Visual Basic language test - the most basic introductory course for programmers.

Players just need to choose 1 of 4 commands that they think is suitable for the character's movements in the clip. The Tofas website interface is rated by everyone as having a clear, vivid layout, and there is also a video tutorial to do the exercises before starting so it is very easy to understand.

Gia Han and Gia Hue were extremely excited when they were invited to experience the Visual test. The children watched a clip of a penguin zooming in, zooming out, rotating, and then chose the command combination with the steps that they thought were correct in the order of the penguin's movements. Taking the test together, the two sisters showed great agreement when they both chose the same answer.

Two sisters, Gia Hue, 7 years old, and Gia Hao, 9 years old, were extremely excited to be invited to experience the Visual test.

The next participants were Vo Hong Thuy Van and Nguyen Thi Phuong Thanh (students of Van Lang University). Van and Thanh were quite surprised because their programming background was mind-twisting series of numbers, they did not expect the test to be so fun and interesting.

As a second-year student at RMIT University, this is the first time Tan Vuong has experienced this subject. Vuong said that he and his father knew about the International Programming Competition in the press but did not dare to register because he thought he did not know about programming.

Up until now, he has always been curious about the world of programmers, wondering how to create technological products like robots. The first time you experience, Tan Vuong feels very interested in this subject of logic.

Like Mr. Hung, a salesman in District 1 also had his first exposure to a programming test. After being explained by the representative of Sprix Vietnam, he also started to be interested in programming and agreed that this subject is not too difficult, anyone can do it with basic languages.

Launched on September 1, 2023 as a competition accompanying the Tofas International Programming Competition in collaboration between Sprix Education Group Japan and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, the Tofas Competition attracted a large number of contestants of all ages, from all regions across the country and officially reached 130,000 plays by September 25, 2023.
