
On October 9, the Times Higher Education (THE) ranking organization announced the results of the 2026 world university rankings (THE 2026) with the participation of nearly 2,200 higher education institutions from 115 countries and territories.
Among the 11 Vietnamese representatives named in the THE 2026 rankings, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics continues to hold the highest position, ranked in the top 501-600 universities in the world .
The fact that Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics maintains its position in the top 501-600 in this year's rankings is a great effort to bring Vietnam's academic quality and reputation to the world.
The ranking results are based on data collected and surveyed by the organization itself, combined with information sent by educational institutions.
The conditions for schools are that they must teach at the undergraduate level, conduct research in many fields and have at least 1,000 published studies from 2020 to 2024.
THE has 18 evaluation criteria, divided into 5 groups, including: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, Industry, and International Outlook.
