On that basis, the congress drew valuable lessons to apply in the leadership and direction of the Party cell in the coming time.
During the past term, An Giang Newspaper has performed its propaganda function well in accordance with the principles and purposes of the local Party newspaper. The newspaper has an average circulation of 7,000 - 8,000 copies/issue, with 5 regular issues per week. In particular, An Giang Electronic Newspaper and the Western News supplement have promoted the information effect in the era of digital information explosion, with many articles in the province, domestically and internationally updated, with an average of 30,000 - 50,000 readers accessing each day, making it one of the 15 Party newspapers with high access numbers.
The content, quality of news, articles and photos of reporters who are party members of the editorial office are increasingly improved, clearly demonstrated through a series of works that won press awards in the province, region and country, each year higher than the previous year. Specifically, over 10 reporters won awards: 1 consolation prize of the National Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle), 1 C prize of the National Press Award for Great Unity 2020; consolation prize of the National Press Award 2021... In addition, 45 reporters won A, B, C prizes, and consolation prizes of the An Giang Provincial Party Building Press Award, the Writing Contest on studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh . A photojournalist won many high awards in photo contests of the province, the Mekong Delta and nationwide.
In addition, the An Giang Newspaper Party Cell promotes social and charitable activities to help the poor and disadvantaged in the community. In 5 years, the An Giang Newspaper Social and Charity Fund has received a contribution of nearly 4 billion VND. From this source, the Social and Charity Fund has provided support for hundreds of people in difficulty and illness; built 13 new houses under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province; supported the funds For the Poor, Spring Trees, and Encouragement of Learning... Developing new party members has reached 2/2 party members (100%).
The results of the Party cell classification, 2020 - 2025, achieved the title of "Completing tasks well". The rate of Party members completing tasks well or better every year always reaches over 95%, of which the rate of Party members completing tasks excellently reaches 15% - 20% of the total number of Party members. Every year, the Party cell commends and rewards 05 Party members with the title of completing tasks excellently. The agency commends over 25 collectives and 45 individuals with outstanding achievements in professional work and Party building. During the term, the Party cell had over 50 individuals and 20 collectives receiving certificates of merit from provincial and local departments, branches, and sectors for their outstanding achievements in propaganda work and performing professional tasks...
In the 2025 - 2030 term, the An Giang Newspaper Party Cell continues to promote the Party Cell's political core role in leading and directing the overall activities of the Newspaper and An Giang Radio - Television Station in a unified, effective and strong manner; building the agency into a key multimedia communication center of the province, pioneering in information and propaganda work on the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; promptly, accurately and objectively reflecting all aspects of social life; contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security of An Giang province and the region.
At the same time, focus on innovating the organization and activities of Party cells in a practical and effective manner; pay attention to improving the quality of activities and the quality of Party members; educate Party members to improve their political and ideological awareness; actively participate in building a clean and strong Party and government, contributing to the successful implementation of the agency's political tasks.
The Congress voted to agree on the main targets, including: Every year, the Party Cell strives to complete its tasks well or better. Of which, 80% of the subordinate Party Cells complete their tasks well or better; 20% of the Party Cells complete their tasks excellently. 85% of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers complete their assigned tasks well or better. By the end of the term, strives to have over 100% of Party members from the position of head, deputy head of department or higher and equivalent with intermediate or higher political theory qualifications; every year, 95% of Party members complete their tasks well or better, of which at least 20% of Party members complete their tasks excellently; 100% of Party members receive and study the Party's resolutions; 100% of Party members register to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle, etc.
In her closing speech at the congress, Party Cell Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of An Giang Newspaper Tran Thi Bich Van requested all cadres, party members and employees of An Giang Newspaper to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, overcoming difficulties, turning the congress resolution into concrete actions, contributing to building An Giang Newspaper and Radio - Television to develop more and more strongly, worthy of being the voice of the Party Committee, government and people of An Giang province.
