Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress of Huong Hoa district, term 2024

This morning, June 19, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province held the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the district, term 2024 - 2029. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Dao Manh Hung attended.

Over the past 5 years, with the role of a "bridge" between the Party's will and the people's hearts, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Huong Hoa district has thoroughly grasped the Party's viewpoints and the State's laws on the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new period, focusing on innovating the content and methods of operation; promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc, contributing to creating high consensus in society, truly being a bridge for the close relationship between the Party, the State and the People.

Propaganda, mobilization and gathering of people from all walks of life are focused on. The Fatherland Front and its member organizations from the district to the grassroots level have mobilized people to promote emulation movements and campaigns such as: "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "All people participate in protecting national security"...

During the term, the work of caring for and helping families with meritorious services and the poor continued to receive attention. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district has mobilized resources to support the "Fund for the Poor" and has guided and connected businesses, organizations and charitable individuals to directly help the poor. In the past 5 years, the Fatherland Front at all levels has received funding to support the fund for the poor with an amount of more than 15.27 billion VND, supporting poor households to build 194 solidarity houses, repairing 46 houses, building 15 livelihood models, giving gifts to families in especially difficult circumstances, people with serious illnesses, families affected by fires, natural disasters, etc.

In addition, the work of supervision, social criticism, giving opinions on Party building, government building, preventing corruption, waste and negativity has been closely implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front from the district to the grassroots level; the work of organizing the apparatus, the staff and civil servants doing front work at all levels, and the front work committees in residential areas have been consolidated and improved.

In addition to the achieved results, the congress also seriously pointed out the shortcomings and limitations and agreed to set out 10 targets and 3 breakthroughs to effectively implement 6 key programs in the coming term.

Speaking at the congress, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Dao Manh Hung suggested that in the coming time, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Huong Hoa district should continue to improve the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization work; improve the quality of movements and campaigns associated with the implementation of the district's annual political tasks. Effectively carry out the work of supervision, social criticism, and contribute to building an increasingly clean and strong Party and government.

With the spirit of solidarity, democracy, innovation and development, the congress elected 55 members to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Huong Hoa district, term XI, 2024 - 2029. At the first conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Huong Hoa district, term XI, elected Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, term 2024 - 2029. The congress also elected 24 delegates to attend the 13th Provincial Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029.

At the congress, the Steering Committee of Project 197 and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province presented 30 solidarity houses to poor households; the Chairman of the People's Committee of Huong Hoa district presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with achievements in the work of the front in the period 2019 - 2024.
