From Phu Yen People's Radio Station to Phu Yen Radio and Television Station
At 5:15 p.m. on July 1, 1989, at the top of Nhan Tower in Tuy Hoa City, the theme song of Phu Yen People's Radio, broadcast on FM, frequency 96 MHZ, marked the re-establishment of Phu Yen province.
From the beginning with only a few cadres, engineers, reporters and simple machinery and equipment, Phu Yen People's Radio has accompanied the development of the province day and night. The radio waves of the station together with the grassroots radio system have covered over 95% of residential areas, bringing the voice of the Provincial Party Committee to all classes of people in the province.
From the first broadcast of a radio station until the addition of television functions, Phu Yen Radio and Television Station has constantly strived to fulfill its duties as a local press agency. The station's staff and reporters have also been continuously trained in expertise and skills to access modern radio journalism technology. The method of making radio programs has gradually escaped the traditional way, with changes from the program structure to the way of presentation to meet the increasingly high information reception requirements of listeners. Through radio waves, people of all walks of life in the province promptly grasp the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; contributingto education , improving people's knowledge, and serving the spiritual life of local people.
Pursuant to the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress, on January 16, 2012, the People's Committee of Phu Yen province issued a decision on the establishment of Phu Yen Radio and Television Station. On July 13, 2012, the station was granted License 1237 by the Ministry of Information and Communications , allowing it to operate television, and on December 11, 2012, the Radio Frequency Department - Ministry of Information and Communications issued License 176389, allowing Phu Yen Radio and Television Station to broadcast television on channel 37 UHF.

Developing multi-platform journalism
The time when Phu Yen Radio and Television launched PTP TV channel was also the time when the television industry was saturated and faced fierce competition from many other forms of media, especially online platforms. However, with the attention of the provincial leaders and the determination of the collective, the station gradually overcame difficulties to integrate with modern journalism.
From a few daily news bulletins, the station has now formed a diverse information content ecosystem, published on many platforms to meet the public's increasingly diverse information access needs. PTP TV channel broadcasts 6:30 p.m. every day with 4 news bulletins and specialized programs, columns, and entertainment.
FM radio channels at frequencies 96MHz, 102.7MHz and 100MHz broadcast local radio programs and rebroadcast VOV1 and VOV2 of Voice of Vietnam, connecting with listeners 20/24 hours. The Electronic Information page is designed to provide diverse information and content, which is constantly updated. Phu Yen Television's Facebook has more than 30,000 registered accounts, reaching 4.4 million people. The Youtube platform has more than 1,000 registered accounts, with more than 6,464 hours of video viewing time. The TikTok platform has nearly 33,000 subscribers, more than 8.7 million views, more than 47,000 shares... In 2025, the station will put into operation a news management system for program production, gradually digitizing from the script stage to post-production, helping to save time, control content and preserve data.
During its 36-year journey, Phu Yen Radio and Television has successfully completed its mission of information and propaganda, bringing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to the people; reflecting a vivid picture of the people of the province in labor, production and building the homeland; fighting and refuting false and hostile arguments, contributing to building the Party, government and political system; being a bridge between the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province; contributing to preserving and promoting ethical values, national cultural identity, contributing to building and developing Phu Yen culture and people to meet the integration requirements in the new period.
Compassionate Bridge - Connecting Volunteers
One of the unique marks of Phu Yen Radio and Television in the hearts of listeners and viewers is the programs that are close to people's lives. In addition to building and broadcasting political and entertainment programs, the station identifies social charity work as an important content to contribute to spreading the message of charity, connecting support from the community to support and help those in difficult circumstances.
The station cooperated with the Phu Yen Firefly Charity Association to learn about and introduce difficult circumstances, thereby connecting with organizations and individuals to help. The TV program "Humanitarian Bridge" on PTP received the sympathy and support of thousands of domestic and foreign audiences. Many especially difficult circumstances, after being connected and supported by the program, were motivated to rise up and volunteer to accompany the program throughout to support and help other circumstances. And from the program, the good values just keep multiplying.

Since 2014, the program has connected and helped more than 1,000 disadvantaged people with a total amount of nearly 15 billion VND; supported the construction of dozens of Charity houses, built many boarding classrooms and gave hundreds of bicycles to poor students. Not only locally, "Humanity Bridge" has also spread to many provinces and cities in the country, joining hands to support people in Cao Bang, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Hai Duong provinces to overcome the damage caused by storm YAGI in 2024 with a connected support amount of nearly 2 billion VND.

In the new period, Phu Yen Radio and Television Station determines to constantly innovate, creating quality and unique products. Broadcast programs must quickly, accurately and promptly reflect events, political, economic, cultural and social activities of the country and locality, ensuring information orientation. Promote the application of digital technology, artificial intelligence to optimize production and distribution activities, build digital media content, develop multi-platform, multimedia press products, creating competitiveness with other forms of media.
To achieve these goals, the station focuses on innovating management methods and program production processes, implementing effective solutions in organizational structure, finance, equipment and facilities serving program management, production and distribution.
