Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Consul General of the Republic of Singapore paid a courtesy call to the leaders of Tay Ninh province

Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thanh Tam received Singaporean Ambassador Jaya Ratnam.

Receiving the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of provincial departments and branches.

Mr. Jaya Ratnam - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Singapore to Vietnam highly appreciated the cooperation between the two countries and expected that Vietnam - Singapore can upgrade the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2025.

Mr. Jaya Ratnam said that this visit to Tay Ninh province is not beyond the desire to strengthen and enhance the cooperative relationship between Singapore and Tay Ninh - Vietnam in all fields. Currently, the network of Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP) is considered a symbol of friendship and successful economic cooperation between the two countries.

It is expected that in the near future, a VSIP industrial park will be promoted for construction in Tay Ninh province. Mr. Jaya Ratnam hopes that the leaders of Tay Ninh province will create favorable conditions for investors to soon realize this industrial park.

Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thanh Tam presented a souvenir to Mr. Pang Te Chang - Consul General of the Republic of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the same time, he added some positive information about the export of chicken meat and eggs from Tay Ninh province to the Singapore market that is being promoted by businesses.

Regarding training, Ambassador Jaya Ratnam   Tay Ninh sending a delegation of provincial leaders to study in Singapore contributes to strengthening the relationship between the two sides in human resource training cooperation.

He said that Singapore is always ready to support Tay Ninh province and suggested that the province consider allowing small and medium-sized enterprises to register for Shopee's training program (an e-commerce platform headquartered in Singapore - PV), to help these enterprises access larger markets in the future.

Ambassador Jaya Ratnam respectfully invited the leaders of Tay Ninh province to visit Singapore and is ready to connect to organize a meeting program between Singaporean enterprises as well as foreign enterprises wishing to expand into the Tay Ninh market with the leaders of Tay Ninh province in the near future.

In his reply, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thanh Tam sincerely thanked the Ambassador and the Consul General for their visit to Tay Ninh; and highly appreciated the Ambassador's interest in enhancing the relationship between Vietnam and Singapore in general and the cooperation between Tay Ninh province and Singapore in particular, especially in industrial development, agricultural export, and human resource training in recent times.

Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thanh Tam informed that currently, in Tay Ninh province, there are 20 Singaporean enterprises with a total capital of about 800 million USD investing and doing business in the province, ranking 5th among the total number of foreign-invested enterprises in the province.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Thanh Tam hopes that the Ambassador and the Consul General will continue to pay attention and coordinate to introduce Singaporean enterprises to invest in industrial parks in the province, expanding agricultural products as well as products from other industries that are eligible for export to the Singapore market.

With the initial success in training cooperation, Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thanh Tam hopes to continue receiving support from Singapore in training human resources in the public sector, so that in the future, the two sides can coordinate to open more specialized training courses, helping the province improve the quality of human resources and public administration.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thanh Tam sincerely thanked the Ambassador and the Consul General for their proposals on supporting training for small and medium-sized enterprises as well as connecting the meeting and working program between the provincial leaders, enterprises of Tay Ninh province and Singaporean enterprises in the coming time. Regarding this content, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee assigned the leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment to preside over advising the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to implement and connect to organize it soon in the coming time.
