Voice of Vietnam and Guangxi Radio and Television (China) promote cooperation on digital platforms

At the meeting, VOV Deputy General Director Ngo Minh Hien reviewed the main features of the relationship between VOV and Guangxi Radio and Television Station. Accordingly, the two sides have had long-standing cooperation. Previously, every year, the two sides coordinated visits and exchanges of leaders, reporters, editors and technicians.

Deputy General Director Ngo Minh Hien also informed the delegation of Guangxi Radio and Television Station about VOV's new developments. According to Deputy General Director Ngo Minh Hien, VOV's cooperation space is very diverse, from radio, television, online newspapers and digital platforms.

“We have had close cooperation with Chinese partners from the central to local levels for many years and that cooperation has been maintained effectively. We appreciate Guangxi Radio and Television Station as a close partner and have had effective cooperation with VOV recently,” said Deputy General Director Ngo Minh Hien.

Deputy General Director Ngo Minh Hien hopes that the two sides will have cooperation proposals and discussions in the coming time to inform the people of the two countries about the development situation as well as the tradition of friendship between the two countries.

Regarding the delegation of Guangxi Radio and Television Station, Ms. Trinh Quy said that in the past, the two sides mainly cooperated in the field of radio broadcasting, but now, Guangxi Radio and Television Station is also developing multimedia, so there are more departments and offices to implement international cooperation.

In 2008, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, but at that time it was Guangxi People's Radio Station that signed with VOV. Ms. Trinh Quy proposed that since Guangxi Radio and Television Station have now merged, she wanted to sign a new Memorandum of Cooperation with VOV as Guangxi Radio and Television Station.

Ms. Trinh Quy also suggested that the two sides increase the exchange of news on multimedia platforms. Previously, the two sides mainly cooperated in broadcasting, but in the future, they can promote cooperation on digital platforms.

Summarizing the working session, Deputy General Director Ngo Minh Hien said that the two sides agreed to sign a cooperation document in the coming time, which can be calculated as 3 years. Cooperation will be carried out in the following aspects: Exchange of high-level delegations of leaders between the two stations to visit and discuss cooperation plans; Exchange of delegations of reporters, editors and technicians to share experiences as well as methods of producing radio and television programs and new media.
