Ensure power supply to customers

-Ninh Thuan Electricity Company ensures power supply to customers.

Implementing the direction of Vietnam Electricity Group, in the first month of 2023, Ninh Thuan Power Company (PC Ninh Thuan) has developed a power supply plan with proactive power supply scenarios in all situations such as preparing load balancing plans, prioritizing load supply for important electricity customers approved by the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee; supporting the coordination of the operation of the 220 kV and 110 kV power grids in the area and inter-provincial lines to ensure safe and stable power supply... to meet the electricity needs of people and businesses. Thanks to that, in the first 4 months of 2023, PC Ninh Thuan supplied 248.569 million kWh of electricity, an increase of 4.83% over the same period in 2022, reaching 29.95% compared to the plan assigned by the Corporation in 2023 (830 million kWh).

Up to now, the total number of electricity customers is 197,018, of which 171,491 customers use electricity for domestic purposes (accounting for 87.04%) and 25,527 customers use electricity for non-domestic purposes (accounting for 12.96%). The rate of households using electricity is 190,796/190,796, reaching 100%, of which the number of rural households with electricity is 121,312/121,312, reaching 100%.

To ensure power supply for people and businesses in the remaining months of 2023, especially during the dry season, PC Ninh Thuan continues to effectively operate distributed power sources, minimize the transmission of idle power back to the transmission grid, and regulate power sources according to the direction of Vietnam Electricity Group, the National Power System Dispatch Center, and the Southern Power Corporation.

Mr. Do Nguyen Hung, Director of PC Ninh Thuan, said that in the upcoming heat waves, with the forecast of high electricity consumption demand, PC Ninh Thuan has proactively developed a reasonable way to operate the power grid, avoiding local overloads on the distribution grid. To ensure the safety of the power system and electrical safety for the people, PC Ninh Thuan proactively works with local authorities to coordinate propaganda and mobilize people to support tree cutting to protect the safety of the power line corridor, and handle violations of the power grid safety corridor. At the same time, promote propaganda on safe and economical use of electricity to communes/wards/towns, villages/neighborhoods, schools, agencies, businesses, hotels, urban lighting units, etc. to ensure the supply of electricity for people's daily life and maintain production activities of businesses during the dry months.
