Fast and timely
Visiting the Asset Management and Supply Team (QLTS&TC) under the Logistics Department of the Hue City Police these days, we felt the bustling and urgent working atmosphere.
To ensure the stability and smooth operation of the police forces in wards and communes throughout the city after the merger, the team assigned task forces to closely monitor the areas and provide guidance and support to ward and commune units in continuing to review and register their needs for vehicles, professional equipment, support tools, and other assets. This will ensure effective support for all aspects of work and combat, guaranteeing uninterrupted operations.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Cong Nhan, Head of the Asset Management and Equipment Team, stated: Immediately after the merger was announced, the unit compiled a complete inventory of all facilities, equipment, and vehicles to develop a plan for arranging offices and accommodation for officers and soldiers. Simultaneously, in coordination with relevant teams and units, we advised the city's police leadership on organizing training conferences on finance, asset management, weapons, barracks, and support tools for commune and ward-level police; ensuring that assets are managed and used rationally, preventing deterioration or waste.
In implementing Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW dated March 16, 2022, of the Politburo on promoting the building of a truly clean, strong, regular, elite, and modern People's Public Security force, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation, with the motto "proactive, effective, economical, and modern," the Logistics Department, specifically the Asset Management and Equipment Team, has advised the Board of Directors to develop a project to modernize the physical infrastructure of the Hue City Public Security force, aiming to contribute to building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Hue City Public Security force.
Continuous effort
Lieutenant Colonel Le Viet Phuong, Head of the Logistics Department of the Hue City Police, said: "During the period 2020-2025, the unit has advised on and implemented more than 130 bidding packages, with a total value of hundreds of billions of VND. This includes focusing on investing in modern and synchronized equipment, vehicles, and technical equipment for commune-level police."
Simultaneously, focus on investing in modern equipment to support the implementation of Government Project 06 on "Developing applications of population data, electronic identification and authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030" and other digital transformation programs within the People's Police. In particular, invest in modernizing key operational forces as directed by the Central Party Committee of the Public Security, such as the Mobile Police, Cyber Security, and the fight against high-tech crime. The goal is to complete the modernization investment for the entire Hue City Police force by 2030.
In practical celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025), officers and soldiers of the Logistics Department are working day and night to advise on and construct many important projects and facilities for the City Police, ensuring adequate material conditions to support combat operations.
"The work isn't finished until the job is done, through the night, through holidays, through weekends," this spirit is being instilled by the Logistics Department Command to every officer in the Asset Management and Utilization Team to improve the efficiency of managing and utilizing public assets during this crucial transition period.
