In the first match of Group F, the 2024 National U19 Qualifiers, U19 Ba Ria Vung Tau faced U19 Ho Chi Minh City. The team named after Uncle Ho, considered the strongest in the group under the leadership of Coach Lu Dinh Tuan, unexpectedly suffered a defeat.

The team's coach, Mr. Doan Nhat Tien, did not dare to put high expectations on his players. However, the home team's players played resiliently. They tried to defend tightly, strictly followed the coach's tactics and waited for the opportunity. The result came in the 88th minute. Le Dinh Manh scored the winning goal, sealing a 1-0 victory.
Dinh Manh (number 16) scored for U19 Ba Ria Vung Tau.
This defeat greatly affects the chances of U19 HCMC to continue. Because the organizers only accept a limited number of second-place teams to continue, the teams must try not to stumble.
