*Pig price in the North:
According to records, the price of live pigs in the Northern region today remained stable at around 61,000 - 63,000 VND/kg. Of which, Lao Cai and Ninh Binh are the two provinces purchasing at 61,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the region. The price of live pigs in the remaining localities fluctuated from 62,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.
*Price of live pigs in Central Highlands:
The Central Highlands market has not yet made any new adjustments this morning. Accordingly, traders in this area are purchasing live pigs at 58,000 - 61,000 VND/kg. Of which, Dak Lak is currently the only province with a price of 58,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the country.
*Price of live pigs in the South:
In the Southern region, prices slightly decreased in Bac Lieu and Ca Mau, respectively at 60,000 VND/kg and 61,000 VND/kg. Currently, live pigs in this region are being sold at prices ranging from 59,000 - 62,000 VND/kg. Of which, Dong Thap, Can Tho and Soc Trang are the localities with the highest prices in the region, reaching 62,000 VND/kg.

Commenting on the trend of developing biosafety livestock farming in the locality, Mr. Le Trung Can, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hung Yen province, said that in order to encourage localities to develop biosafety livestock farming, in the coming time, the Department will advise the Provincial People's Committee to continue to have preferential mechanisms and policies on land and credit capital, creating conditions for livestock farming households to build closed farms. At the same time, direct specialized units to promote the construction of linkage chains, linking livestock and poultry slaughterhouses with large-scale livestock farming households, creating a synchronous process from production to product consumption to build brands and trademarks of livestock products.
Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hung Yen is also coordinating with localities to review the current livestock situation to develop a project on livestock farming away from residential areas associated with centralized slaughter to ensure quality management, food safety, disease safety, and minimize environmental pollution, contributing to the sustainable development of the province's livestock industry.
