The Communist Party of Vietnam and the heroic and glorious history of the nation

The political process of our country since the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1930 has always accompanied the process of national development. From a semi-feudal colonial country, under the leadership of the Party, our people have gone from one victory to another, creating heroic and glorious pages of history for the nation, continuing to step firmly into the early 21st century with the aspiration of strength and prosperity. Leading the nation on the road ahead After nearly a hundred years of slavery, Vietnam, from a place without a name on the world map, gradually stepped onto the political stage and became a model of the national liberation movement and progressive humanity of the 20th century. The Democratic Republic of Vietnam was born in 1945, affirming the talented leadership of our Party in the turbulent context at that time. The first democratic republic of Vietnam in Southeast Asia opened a new era of the era, the era of national independence and democracy in Asian - African - Latin American countries and around the world. During the resistance wars for national salvation, under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, historical milestones were written one after another, full of majesty and tragedy. The Dien Bien Phu victory in 1954 resounded throughout the five continents, shaking the world, the great victory in the spring of 1975, the country was reunited, the S-shaped strip of land was cleared of enemies. In the new era, the Communist Party of Vietnam continues to be the only political force with enough wisdom and courage to continue leading the nation on the road ahead. The documents of the 13th National Party Congress affirmed, with all its modesty, that Vietnam has the right to be proud that, "never before have we had such a foundation, potential, prestige and international position as today". The courage and solidarity based on the strength and consensus of the people under the leadership of the Party have fostered the will and aspiration to develop a strong country in the future. That is also the source that guides our Party to be determined to realize the goals for the nation and reality has proven that the Party, with its steering role, has led the country through many difficulties and rapids in the past to progress with the times. With its own instincts , cultural traditions and rich experience, the Communist Party of Vietnam has always demonstrated a spirit of innovation and pioneering in its leadership and governance capacity on the basis of a firm grasp of the principles and guidelines of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought. This is also a factor that helps the Party to always be steadfast in the face of changes in the times. In the first decades of the 21st century, the Communist Party of Vietnam proactively planned a socio -economic development path and a solid national defense strategy, early and far in advance. Thus, it can be seen that, through the practice of 94 years of leadership and governance, the Communist Party of Vietnam has contributed to enriching the theory on the role of a genuine revolutionary Party, worthy of the name "The Party is morality and civilization". Many great achievements have been made over nearly 40 years of Renovation, our country's position and strength have been raised, people's lives have been constantly improved, the State has paid attention to cultural and social life, national defense and security have been maintained, Vietnam's position, prestige and voice in the international arena have been promoted and respected. However, facing the negative side and temptations of the market economy, many cadres and party members have been "exposed" to diseases of bad habits and vices, leading to political, ideological and moral degradation, and many have violated the law. Therefore, in the new situation, a number of urgent issues on Party building and rectification are urgent and necessary requirements, the fight against corruption and negativity launched by our Party has achieved many great results after a period of time. In the spirit of curing diseases and saving people and the profound humanistic tradition of “cutting off rotten branches to save the whole tree”, the Communist Party of Vietnam once again demonstrated its pioneering spirit, continuously attacking the “internal invaders” persistently and systematically; constantly perfecting its thinking and theory on the current fight against corruption and negativity. In fact, this fight has become a movement, an irreversible trend, contributing to preventing and repelling dangers that threaten the survival of the regime, consolidating the trust of the people and the international community. On the foundation of a solid political structure, state power is controlled, divided and coordinated, the political system is constantly renewed, and the socialist rule of law state is increasingly strong. The Communist Party of Vietnam - the center of the country's political life - continues to accompany the flow of the nation. On the basis of the correct ideological system and guidelines, the Communist Party of Vietnam will certainly lead the country to develop strongly, bringing the nation to a new height. With its glorious victory, the Communist Party of Vietnam is ready to enter the next phase to help our nation write new heroic songs, always worthy of the affirmation "Strong Party, developing country, eternal nation" that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has repeatedly emphasized./.
