Khanh Hoa strives to be in the top 10 nationwide in terms of competitiveness index.

On the morning of September 23, after nearly three days of serious work, the 1st Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, held its closing session and officially passed an important resolution.

At the closing session, Mr. Nguyen Khac Ha, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the Executive Committee, presented the draft action program to concretize the congress resolution. The congress continued to discuss documents, including the draft to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Representing the Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations, Ms. Tran Thu Mai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, emphasized the role of gathering and uniting the entire people, creating social consensus to successfully implement the Resolution. In the field of national defense and security, Colonel Truong Thanh Viet, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, affirmed the determination to build a solid and interconnected defense zone. Colonel Nguyen Quan, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, pledged to strengthen the maintenance of political security, social order and safety, serving socio-economic development and international integration.

Many other presentations also emphasized breakthrough tasks in science and technology development, digital economy and modern administration. Mr. Pham Quoc Hoan, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, said that Khanh Hoa must become a bright spot in innovation, aiming to be in the top 10 provinces and cities nationwide in technology application. Director of the Department of Finance Chau Ngo Anh Nhan set a goal of bringing the province into the top 10 nationwide in terms of Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), thereby maintaining annual GRDP growth at double digits.

The Congress agreed on specific targets: average GRDP growth rate of 11-12%/year; average GRDP per capita increase of 14%/year. In the social field, the human development index (HDI) strives to reach 0.78; average life expectancy of 75.5 years; trained labor rate of 90%. Party building work sets an annual target of over 90% of grassroots party organizations and party members completing their tasks well, the rate of new party members reaching 3-4%/year.

To realize these goals, the congress identified six key solutions, six key tasks and three strategic breakthroughs, focusing on perfecting specific policies and institutions, developing high-quality human resources and investing in synchronous and modern infrastructure.

In his closing speech at the Congress, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that the Congress was a great success, a profound political activity, demonstrating the will, belief and development aspirations of the entire Party Committee, government and people. "The success of the Congress is just the beginning. To make the resolution a vivid reality, the resolution's targets have the breath of life: The province develops - the material and spiritual life of cadres, party members and people in the province is improved, that is the actual success of the Congress", Mr. Thanh emphasized.
