
Attending the event were Party Central Committee members Lam Van Man, Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council ; Ha Thi Nga, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Le Quang Tung, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, along with monks, Khmer Theravada Buddhist dignitaries and a large number of people.
At the festival, Chau Thanh hamlet residents informed about the economic , cultural and social development of the hamlet, exchanged and shared experiences on promoting the role of prestigious people in economic development and maintaining security and order.
An Ninh Commune has more than 57% Khmer people living. Tum Nup Pagoda has a long history and culture. Since the merger and implementation of the 2-level local government model, the local political system has operated stably and effectively.
The material and spiritual life of the people is gradually improved. The average income per capita in 2025 will reach 67.78 million VND. The poverty rate in 2025 is 80 poor households, accounting for 0.99%; 101 near-poor households, accounting for 1.25%.

Speaking at the festival, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man acknowledged the outstanding results in economic and social development in An Ninh commune and congratulated Tum Nup pagoda for winning first prize in Ngo boat racing for three consecutive years in the recent Oc Oom Boc Festival.
The National Assembly Chairman requested all levels and sectors of Can Tho city to continue building a strong locality from the grassroots level, strong hamlets, communes, wards, and a strong new city. Can Tho city pays attention to the movement of learning, lifelong learning, improving educational levels, improving people's knowledge, and training talents.
Regarding rural economic development associated with production and business of households in Chau Thanh hamlet, An Ninh commune and the whole city, the National Assembly Chairman suggested that the city pay attention to investment and create favorable conditions for people to develop strong household economy, strong family, strong economy, cultural family, from which there will be cultural hamlets, cultural communes and rapidly developing cities.
The National Assembly Chairman also noted that the city’s agencies and sectors pay attention to taking care of policy families, people with meritorious services, and poor households. The city promotes the mobilization of resources from the community to care for and help the poor and those in especially difficult circumstances.

Regarding Chau Thanh hamlet, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested that people unite, continue to promote cultural life, cultural lifestyle, and preserve the good traditions of the nation, especially among the Khmer ethnic group.
Chau Thanh hamlet needs to promote the movement of encouraging learning and talent, for tomorrow's development. "Popular education" in digital style, linked with lifelong learning, 100% of school-age children must go to school. Developing education and training to improve the educational level, intellectual level of the people, linked with training talents is the key to rapid and sustainable development.
People in the hamlet must maintain security and order in the area, promote the role of self-management groups and inter-family groups, build families free of social evils, not use or sell electronic cigarettes or drugs, have no lawbreakers, and not let bad forces incite, entice, or divide the great national unity bloc.
On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the delegation presented gifts to Chau Thanh hamlet residents, Khmer Theravada Buddhist dignitaries, and awarded scholarships to students in An Ninh commune.
