Joining the atmosphere of the whole country towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025), on the morning of November 9, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended the National Great Unity Day in Chau Thanh hamlet residential area (An Ninh commune, Can Tho city).
Joining the celebration with the people at the Festival were members of the Party Central Committee: Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council Lam Van Man; Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga.
The festival was also attended by leaders of Can Tho city; venerable monks, senior monks, and senior monks of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the city, the City Association of Patriotic Monks and Monks Solidarity, and abbots of pagodas in the area.
Speaking at the festival, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his joy at the positive results achieved by Chau Thanh hamlet (An Ninh commune), and at the same time, acknowledged and commended the local front's work that has gone deep into residential areas.
In addition to the achieved results, the National Assembly Chairman also frankly stated that the development of Can Tho in general and Chau Thanh hamlet (An Ninh commune) in particular, is still not commensurate with its potential and advantages, especially after Can Tho city was merged and expanded.

The National Assembly Chairman noted a number of key issues that require continued efforts, such as developing the learning movement; ensuring uniform poverty reduction quality, especially in remote areas and among the Khmer ethnic group.
Emphasizing the importance of development from the grassroots with the viewpoint "If hamlets, communes and wards are strong, the city will be strong," National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man hopes that the city's Fatherland Front must innovate, go deeper and closer in the work of mobilizing the people.
One of the key tasks that the National Assembly Chairman is particularly concerned about is strengthening advocacy and mobilizing resources from the community to take good care of policy families, meritorious people and poor households.
The National Assembly Chairman also pointed out that cadres, party members, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations must truly be the "core nucleus" with the motto: "3 near": close to the people, close to the grassroots, close to the digital space; "5 must": must listen, must dialogue, set an example, take responsibility, report results; "4 no": no formality, no avoidance, no pushing, no wrong performance of functions.
On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented gifts to Chau Thanh Hamlet Residential Area and Tum Nup Pagoda. Can Tho City leaders awarded 20 scholarships to students who overcame difficulties and studied well.

Khmer dignitaries, policy households, exemplary families and Khmer families in difficult circumstances were also given gifts on this occasion.
In Chau Thanh hamlet (An Ninh commune, Can Tho), the Front's work has made an important contribution to maintaining political security, stable social order, and consolidating great solidarity among ethnic groups and religions.
Under the leadership of the Party, the Front has actively mobilized people to compete in labor production, well implement policies and guidelines, and contribute to socio-economic development.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Thien, Head of Chau Thanh Hamlet Front Working Committee, over the past year, the Hamlet Front Working Committee has coordinated well with the Party cell and mass organizations to effectively carry out the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".
The hamlet currently has 1,078/1,119 households achieving the title of "Cultural Family" (accounting for 98.2%) and is being proposed for recognition as a "Cultural Hamlet."
In particular, the work of preserving cultural identity is focused on, notably the Ngo Chua Tum Nup boat team, which has won both the men's and women's championships for 3 consecutive years at the Ok Om Bok Festival.
The Front's working group has actively coordinated to propagate the policies of the Party, the State and the locality. Many models are being promoted effectively such as "Lighting up the countryside roads", "National flagpole route", rice growing cooperatives, cooperatives, community-based clubs and the "Digital Education for All" model./.
