Based on the breakthroughs identified in the Resolution of the 12th Military Party Congress of Kien Giang Province, term 20202-2025, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command focused on leading and directing the drastic implementation of each aspect of work and each breakthrough. Specifically: Breakthrough "Advising on building military posture in defense areas", breakthrough "Improving training quality", breakthrough "Strengthening the building of discipline and law enforcement".

The Party Committee and Military Command of Kien Giang province issued a full set of leadership and direction documents with 6 resolutions, 1 directive and many other documents and regulations; advised on the issuance of a project on building, training, operating and policies for the militia and self-defense force for the 2021-2025 period; and closely implemented the project on building a standing Militia Fleet to participate in protecting sea and island sovereignty in the new situation.

Party committees, commanders of agencies and units advising Party committees and authorities should pay attention to investing in the construction of works serving national defense and works and projects for socio -economic development combined with national defense and security; building solid and in-depth defense areas and lines in the area, especially border lines, islands and key areas.
