In the more than 60-year history of the 911, each new generation has been a step forward in terms of technology and performance. With the facelifted 992.2, Porsche has made one of its boldest changes yet: electrification of the powertrain. The top-of-the-range 911 Turbo S Cabriolet not only features a refined design, but also features the innovative T-Hybrid system, which delivers unprecedented levels of power and responsiveness.

Aerodynamic design and personal touch

In terms of appearance, the Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet 992.2 retains its iconic shape but is aerodynamically optimized. The front bumper has been redesigned with electrically controlled spoilers that automatically adjust to increase downforce or reduce drag depending on the driving mode and speed. This is an important improvement that helps the car maintain stability at high speeds.

The HD Matrix LED intelligent headlight system comes as standard, providing superior illumination and driver assistance features when operating at night. At the rear, the tires have been increased by 10 mm, combined with the standard PCCB ceramic composite brake system, ensuring grip and braking performance to match the new power.

Customers can personalize their vehicle with a variety of options, from three wheel styles: 20-inch front and 21-inch rear, to special paint colors such as Paint to Sample Plus. The canvas roof also has five color options, including black, brown, red, blue and gray/black, allowing owners to create a unique car.

Driver-focused interior space

Inside, the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet's cabin combines sporty DNA with luxury. The car retains the typical 2+2 seating configuration, without the option to remove the rear seats as in the coupe. This emphasizes the model's role as a high-performance Grand Tourer, able to share the experience with more passengers.

Many details are finished in the signature Turbonite Grey, giving the high-performance models a distinctive look. Through the Exclusive Manufaktur program, Porsche offers hundreds of customization options, from leather and stitching to unique packages such as the Heritage Design Package Pasha, turning each car into a personal work of art.

The T-Hybrid Era with 711 horsepower

At the heart of the 992.2 911 Turbo S Cabriolet is the all-new T-Hybrid powertrain. The 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine is combined with two electric turbochargers (eTurbo), instead of one in the Carrera GTS. Each eTurbo is equipped with a small electric motor that spools the turbines almost instantly, completely eliminating turbo lag and significantly improving engine response.

The active rear spoiler remains an integral part, ensuring the necessary downforce at high speeds.

This combination produces a maximum output of 711 horsepower and a maximum torque of 800 Nm, an increase of 61 horsepower compared to the previous generation. When equipped with the Sport Chrono package, the car is capable of accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds, a negligible 0.1 seconds slower than the coupe. The maximum speed is kept at 322 km/h. Despite the car's weight increasing by 85 kg (reaching 1,810 kg) due to the hybrid system, the overall performance is still raised to a new level.

Price and positioning

In the Vietnamese market, the new generation Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet has a starting price of 22.9 billion VND, higher than the 21.8 billion VND of the Coupe version. This price reflects the model's top position in Porsche's product portfolio, being the choice for customers looking for the ultimate performance of a supercar and an exciting open-top driving experience.

Conclude

The Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet 992.2 is more than just a regular upgrade. The introduction of T-Hybrid technology has created a quantum leap in performance, delivering incredible acceleration and responsiveness. Despite the increase in weight and price, the improvements in technology, aerodynamics and customization options have cemented the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet as one of the most powerful and comprehensive open-top sports cars on the market.
