The average price level nationwide currently fluctuates between 50,000 - 54,000 VND/kg, showing a slowing trend after a slight increase at the beginning of the month.
In the Northern region, the price of live pigs this morning remained unchanged compared to the previous trading session. Many provinces such as Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Son La and Hung Yen all purchased live pigs at around 52,000 - 54,000 VND/kg.
Hanoi, Hai Phong and Ninh Binh are currently the three localities with the highest prices in the region, reaching 54,000 VND/kg. In contrast, Lai Chau and Son La maintain the lowest prices, around 52,000 VND/kg.
In the Central and Central Highlands regions, the live hog market was generally quiet, with only a slight decrease recorded in Quang Tri. The price here decreased by VND 1,000/kg, down to VND 51,000/kg. Other provinces remained stable, generally in the range of VND 50,000 - 53,000/kg.
Gia Lai continues to be the locality with the lowest price in the region at 50,000 VND/kg, while Lam Dong is a bright spot with the highest price at 53,000 VND/kg.
The Southern region also recorded a similar trend this morning, when the price of live pigs decreased slightly in some places. Specifically, in Ca Mau, the price decreased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently at 53,000 VND/kg. Key provinces such as Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City still maintained the highest level in the region, reaching 54,000 VND/kg.
In Dong Thap and An Giang, live hog prices remained stable at VND52,000 - 53,000/kg, while in Can Tho, they continued to trade around VND53,000/kg.
According to traders, the number of pigs sold at small and medium-sized farms is stable, while the demand from slaughterhouses and processing enterprises has not fluctuated much. Abundant supply helps the market maintain a state of balance, making it difficult for pig prices to increase sharply in the short term.
It is expected that in the coming days, the domestic price of live pigs will continue to fluctuate around 50,000 - 54,000 VND/kg. The market may only change when consumption demand increases again in late October - early November, when supermarket chains and restaurants begin to prepare for the year-end consumption season.
Rubber price today October 14: International market continues to increase
On October 14, the world rubber market continued to maintain its upward momentum as investors became more optimistic about future consumption demand.
At the end of the trading session on October 13, rubber prices in major markets in Asia all increased slightly. In Thailand, the November futures contract increased by 0.8%, equivalent to 0.57 Baht, to 67.66 Baht/kg. In the Japanese market (OSE), rubber prices increased by 0.5% to 309 Yen/kg.
In China, rubber prices increased by 25 yuan, or 0.2%, to 14,570 yuan/ton.
On the Singapore Exchange (SGX), the TSR20 rubber contract for October 2025 delivery remained unchanged at 170 cents/kg, indicating a more stable trend for this commodity group.
Rubber prices are likely to remain supported in the short term, according to the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC). This is due to erratic weather in Southeast Asia, which has slowed down the exploitation process, while high demand from China and India - the two largest automobile markets in Asia - is creating a driving force to help prices remain high in the coming weeks.
In the domestic market, rubber prices continue to be stable at many large companies. Binh Long Rubber Company is currently purchasing latex at the factory at 422 VND/degree TSC/kg, while at the production team it is 412 VND/degree TSC/kg. Mixed latex (DRC 60%) is purchased at 14,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous session.
