Misfortune upon mischief
Nearly a month ago, Nghe An Oncology Hospital received a patient with special circumstances: Mr. Dang Van Du, a permanent resident of Yen Phu hamlet, Giai Lac commune. As a child, he suffered from a physical disability after an accident. Despite his physical disability and poor family background, he still worked hard to overcome himself. Until one day, he received the bad news: he had terminal cancer.
Mr. Du, his wife and a child live in a small house in Yen Phu hamlet, Giai Lac commune. The house was also built with the support of relatives when he married Ms. Tran Thi Phuong, a poor woman from the neighboring village. The day she heard that her husband was seriously ill, Ms. Phuong was dizzy, hurriedly returned home from work, and had an accident that left her left foot permanently disabled. Since then, she had to quit her job as a worker at a garment factory, and spent her days and nights collecting scrap to sell, earning a living.

On the brink of fate
The person who helps Ms. Phuong pick up and drop off her children every day is now her father-in-law, an old farmer who has been in a wheelchair for over 8 years. Loving the only grandchild of Mr. Du and his wife, Mr. Than does everything he can. But for him, taking care of himself is already an extraordinary effort, let alone helping his children and grandchildren.
After a month of trying to save her husband and treat his broken foot, Ms. Phuong had to scrape together her last coins; then she had to run around and borrow money everywhere; but given her family's circumstances, borrowing money was not an easy task. Despite the support of neighbors, Mr. Du's family still could not overcome their hardship. Now, they are only waiting for a "miracle" to change their lives.

The most valuable asset of the poor family is the cow, which Mr. Du still raises every day, now he has to sell. Difficulties are thus compounded, Mr. Du and Ms. Phuong's family Hopefully all "doors" will not be closed. Sharing from the community will be an important "salvation" for Mr. Du's family.
