The class had 40 students, aged 16-25, from provinces and cities across the country.
The course is organized for basic training purposes, as a prerequisite class for students to grasp the competition rules, referee movement symbols as well as familiarize themselves with theoretical and physical tests and assessments.
The students were given physical fitness tests so that the instructors could get a preliminary grasp of the referees’ physical condition and plan exercises for the students in the next lessons. As a result, all students passed the physical fitness test as required by the instructors.
Through tests and assessments, Referee Instructors will select promising students to introduce to attend advanced training classes from 2026.
The training course is taught by experienced referee instructors, Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Nguyen Nhu Phong and Ngo Quoc Hung of the Vietnam Football Federation.
After completing the training course, qualified students will be granted a certificate of completion of the National Football Referee Elementary Level training program by the Vietnam Football Federation.
Speaking at the training course, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province Nguyen Tien Dung shared: "The course aims to meet social needs, helping students have the capacity and conditions to manage local grassroots tournaments and professional tournaments, contributing to the development of football nationwide."
